West Newton; oil on board

Due to a misunderstanding,  I wrote in my newsletter last week that the gallery tours at Tullie House on Saturdays January 27th, February 3rd, 10th and 17th @ 2.00 – 3.00 will be free of charge to annual ticket holders. This is not the case. I am told that a gallery tour is £7.50.  As Tullie House have made quite a few bookings already, I suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment!  Ring 01228 618718.  I sincerely apologise for giving you wrong information ...

... and now for the good news:

My illustrated talk The Reluctant Exhibitionist at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick on 14th March at 4.00 is now booking. Tickets are £9.  This will be different from previous talks. In the aftermath of the extremely successful retrospective at Tullie House I will be talking about why I curated that exhibition and what I have learned from it as well as exploring Kelly’s exceptional talent, his reluctance to profit from that gift and his need to cross dress, dying lonely and confused.  Book now on 017687 74411

There will be a small exhibition of Kelly’s original prints in the Circle and Mezzanine galleries. Some of these have never been seen before and some will be for sale with profits going to the theatre.

I’m looking forward to the Afternoon of Talks on Sunday and meeting those who have been lucky enough to book a seat.

We have no snow here and it is a lovely dry day!
