Allonby in snow.
Is there anything for me in there?

I am sending greetings to you all by e mail or via my regular newsletter on this year. The money I would have spent on Christmas cards has gone to Calderwood House in Egremont near Whitehaven which provides accommodation for the homeless and much more. It provides courses, friendship, jobs and above all - hope. It is alcohol and drug free which is often the cause or the result of homelessness.

Most people have an e mail address these days.  It’s a great way of keeping in touch so if you haven’t done so already, sign up on the web site  Put your e mail in the little box at the bottom of the page. When you press send you will receive an e mail asking you to confirm that are not a robot and you do want to get the latest news.  You need to acknowledge this. Your contact details are not passed on to anyone and you can opt out at any time.

You will see if you browse through the year’s news that it has been jam-packed with events, developments and news about the arts. You will see more about the Legacy exhibition at Tullie House Carlisle which continues until 24th February 2019. It is open every day except 25/26 December and 1st January.

I will be at Tullie House Saturday 19th January at 2pm giving an illustrated talk in the lecture theatre exploring Percy Kelly's life, work and legacy. There will also be a chance to visit the exhibition with me afterwards and gain more insight into the works on display in Old Tullie House where Percy studied life drawing in 1961/62 when at the College of Art. These are works previously unseen and most of them have a story attached or give an insight into the way he worked.  Tickets at  01228 618718

Hope you have a lovely Christmas break. After a crazy busy non-stop year I intend to do as little as possible to gear up for the coming year which promises to be equally mad. I will be adopting the brace position to prepare for what could prove to be a turbulent year for the world.  Good wishes to you all for 2019.  Let's all be nice to each other.

I also have a few Kelly works for sale which you can see at in either the box marked works for sale or the one marked prints for sale.
